Hello!

Using PATCHs

A Guide for Patients

Over the last few years there have been huge advances in how we make appointments and access our health information. It is now possible to do more and more of this on-line via a mobile app or in a web browser.

PATCHs is one such on-line system that allows patients to make and manage their appointments, repeat medications and other GP requests via their website, using a web browser.

This guide will show you how to log-in to PATCHs using your NHS login.

Background Information

There are wide range of linked on-line systems  used by the NHS. Each health area can choose their preferred provider for patient GP appointments, viewing health records, hospital care information and other services.

Simpson House has chosen to use PATCHs for making and managing GP appointments and other requests.

There are other linked services used by your local health trust for hospital care information (e.g. Patients Know Best ) and some outpatient appointments management (e.g. DrDoctor).

All of these services have one thing in common - you can access or log-in to them either directly or via your NHS Log-In.

Using your NHS log-in allows you to use one common User-ID and Password whichever system you wish to access, rather than having to remember multiple different User-ID's and Passwords for each system.
