Welcome!
This website is part of a trial to improve access for patients to the on-line
health systems now being used by GPs, hospitals and other healthcare
organisations. The layout automatically adjusts to suit the display size
of the device it is being viewed on. There is also a dark-mode theme button
on the menu bar for
viewing at night or if you find the light (NHS style) theme too bright.
The site has been provided by the Patient Participation Group of Simpson House Medical Centre and is aimed primarily at helping patients who have previously been wary or unsure about going on-line to make appointments and view their health records.
It is intended to be used both as an aid when preparing to sign-up for on-line services and also during and afterwards as a reference or reminder of how to access and use them.
Currently, the Guides contain the following information:
How to sign-up for an NHS login account, which you can then use to access many other on-line health systems.
How to access and use PATCHs to make GP appointments and other requests.
How to access and use Patient Access to view your GP medical records.
Useful links to other health information and systems.
A "Presentation" mode for using the site in meetings with an instructor / presenter.
Please be aware that as this is a brand new website, there may be some bugs that still need squashing before general release - which is why it is currently running as a trial. Also, the content is likely to change in places in response to user feedback.
Speaking of user feedback...
Letting us have your feedback is really useful to allow the site to be improved before being made generally available. You can report bugs and let us know what you think by using the Give Feedback link below or via the Contact Us menu option.
